About this deal

The other story thread is far less interesting. Drawing heavy inspiration from westerns, it tells the tale of fallen hero Dredgen Yor and his rise and fall. It also fleshes out the history of The Last Word, one of the best guns from the game. Unfortunately, this story is well told but relatively bland in comparison. It’s a typical tale of frontier justice and revenge, told too briefly to leave much of an impact. The effects of Yor’s final battle is also told and provides an interesting epilogue, but it’s still a mere morsel if a tale. I had gotten it for my son, who's a big fan of the games, and he offered to let me read it. It was actually way more interesting than I thought it was going to be. Watching the game being played made it seem like it was just a mindless shooting/puzzle game. It's written in the manner of lost/fragmented religious text with occasional intercepted transmissions. Rain and Scar and Stone were dust. The Kings bent the knee. The Exiles knew nothing but hate. Too many Devils rejected the way of Ether to embrace the hateful red cloud that twisted and shaped them. The Wolves were lost with their Kellqueen. Winter was as silent as snow. This was a fascinating read but only as someone who is already relatively well-versed in some of the lore of the Destiny universe; this wouldn’t make any sense or be enjoyable to someone who has never played the games. For months now, I've been hearing things. Passing thoughts, signs, whispers… all leading me here. They get loudest when I'm trying to rest. Sleep eludes me. Feels like I'm going insane. I did my best to ignore them, brush them off, but nothing's working anymore. I finally started listening to them. I don't feel threatened, just intrigued. They're saying exactly what I want to hear. What's that old saying about curiosity?

Destiny Grimoire Anthology, Volume V: Legions Adrift is a curated look at the history of one of humanity’s greatest enemies, and now perhaps, potential allies: the Cabal. These stories follow an ancient empire through a time of great change—from the hedonism of Emperor Calus to the ambition of Dominus Ghaul to the vision of Empress Caiatl. What does it mean to be Cabal—to eat the mountains and drink the seas? And with their homeworld lost, what will the Cabal become? When I am successful in my current endeavor, all the pain, all the fighting, and all the hate will be forgotten. It was simply a means to an end. Then, we will be beyond it. We will become more, rewriting nature's law to suit our needs. Hi y'all, I'm brand new to this server and new to Destiny Lore in general, so please forgive me if my question is dumb, or already has an answer. Your Shank came in here with you. It is hidden now, but I saw it. It is the key to your Light, is it not? There are enough explosives under us to tear a Walker apart." That no matter how strong you think you are, there are forces in their own pursuit that won't even regard your effort to steel yourself against oblivion.

The Battle of Six Fronts. The sieges of Boyle Pass. The breaking of the Weapons of Rain. You have done so much."Perhaps, it doesn't have to. You're not like anyone else. Is your legacy then not worth preserving? What will you do to ensure that you're not swept away in the dust bowl of time? All is possible. Beyond thought and sentience lies another plane: the waking dream. Your mind in its current form could not comprehend it. As a collection, I have to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed reading all the books, and congratulations to Titan Books for treating the source material so sensitively. The facility is mostly intact. I'm in awe at the scale of it. Seeing where the Exos were born, where my grandfather perverted nature-I could be here for years and not uncover everything. Therefore, to understand the Darkness we study the Light. Just as Light is connected through space and time, so is the Darkness. And, just as the Light has those who serve, who act as hands, and heart, and will, there are those who wield the Dark in the same fashion. He hunted me, and I ran until we reached my final refuge. A bunker I constructed as a last resort. Not for the first time in my life, all my people were dead. I had nothing left to lose.
