While I guess the spiciness remains the series defining characteristic and Cream Carbonara is no exception, having a dried flakes packet for some extra texture and flavor would be nice. Whether you’re looking for a spicy and creamy twist on your favorite pasta dish or just want to try something new, Samyang Buldak Carbonara Noodles are sure to satisfy your cravings. Not only have the range of flavors continued to diversify, but for the heat addicts out there ( you know who you are…), the Scoville counts have skyrocketed as well. Once again, I had to update the Samyang ramen ranking with some new Scoville Heat Units (SHU) numbers for this ramen. Not the most appealing or appetizing addition to a cup of noodles… You’re left with nothing to chew on, other than some slippery, baby food noodles.

Unfortunately for those who requested this ramen, I hope you like carny cheese mixed with a flood of wholesome cow juice, because that’s what you’re getting! If you want to omit the gochujang for a plain Carbonara Tteokbokki, you can do that too, but personally I don’t recommend this. To cook, just put the noodles in boiling for 5 minutes, drain the excess hot water (save 8 tablespoons of the hot water), and then mix the noodles with the buldak sauce, cream carbonara powder, and the 8 tablespoons of hot water.I prefer to eat this with more nori to give the noodles extra flavor, but actually on its own, it’s not too bad. For this, I used equal parts milk and cream, but you can also adjust the ratio of the milk and cream to your liking.
